Psalm 23—Part 1

I. The Good Shepherd Supplies All My Needs!

“The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.”         Psalm 23:1

A.    To Conquer our Fears, God says …

1.    Reverence Me!

“Don’t be afraid of people.  They can kill you,

but they cannot harm your soul.  Instead, you

should  fear God who can destroy both your

body and soul in hell.”     Matthew 10:28

2.    Love Me!

“Simon, son of John, do you truly love me more

than these?”     John 21:15a

II. Two Important Facts to Remember About the Good Shepherd!

A.    The Good Shepherd has a plan for your life!

“God planned for us to do good things and to live as he has always wanted us to live.   That’s why he sent Christ to make us what we are.”      Ephesians 2:10

B.    God has promised to reveal His plan!

“You said to me, ‘ I will point out the road that you should follow.  I will be your teacher and watch over you.’ ”     Psalm 32:8

“If God is on our side, can anyone be against us?  God did not keep back his own Son, but he gave him for us.  If God did this, won’t he freely give us everything else?”    Romans 8:31. 32
